Saturday’s Big Scioty dance features Cincinnati caller Frank Bushchelmann and the always awesome Wild Rumpus, both of whom will help make our annual dance weekend the place to be in just two short months. For an extra treat, Frank and the trio plan to do one of Saturday’s dances in the “techno contra” style, giving you a taste of the late-night session they’ll be offering at WWU. (SAVE THE DATES: Winter WarmUp 2019, also featuring nationally known caller Bob Isaacs and the brassy, swinging sounds of Elixir, will be held Dec. 6-8 at the Worthington Community Center. Bob Snider and Cicily Sweet
Wedding gift: The recently wed Bob Snider and Cicily Sweet are actually giving the rest of us a gift by sponsoring Saturday’s dance. The result is that everyone gets in for half price! Admission is only $4 ($3 for members), $2 ($1) for ages 12-26. As usual, children under 12 dance for free. You can thank Bob and Cicily by joining them for this joyous occasion.
Memberships still available: A Big Scioty membership costs $12 and gives you perks such as $1-off admission to each dance and a vote at our annual meeting. Best of all, it helps keep contra dance alive and thriving in Central Ohio.
