Volunteers are always needed and appreciated
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to put on one of our local dances. We always need volunteers to help out, and even a few minutes of your time can make a big difference.
Sit at the desk
Consider sitting at the desk for one dance to welcome dancers, take their payment and answer any questions.
Setup and /or Teardown
We have a regular need for dancers to arrive early and/or stay late for tasks including setting up or tearing down tables, chairs, the snack table, sign-in and flyer tables, putting up the signs, and filling up the water jugs. If you are able to do this for one dance, please let Martha Shaw (marthapottershaw@gmail.com) know which date you can come, or email the board at bigsciotycontra@gmail.com. We have a handy checklist that you can print out that should answer your questions. Can’t stay for teardown? Just let us know and we will recruit teardown helpers during the dance. We also are seeking a crew of regulars who can learn how to help tear down sound so we can exit the hall in a timely fashion (we have a time limit).
