Big Scioty’s first dance of the new year will feature a great lineup of talent: nationally known caller Gaye Fifer, famed for her clear instruction and friendly style; and the Hollertones, an Athens-based quartet consisting of veteran musicians Jeanie Creamer, Linda Scutt, Paul Brown and Nick Weiland.

When, where: 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 6, 2024) at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, 15 Clinton Heights Ave., Columbus. If you’re new to contra or a bit rusty, plan to arrive at 7:30 p.m. for a quick and easy lesson.

Admission: $10 ($7 for members), $5 ($3) for ages 12-26, free for children under 12.

Parking: Available in the lot behind the church and on nearby streets.

Refreshments: Feel free to bring a treat to share. Please bring a water bottle for your own use.

COVID health protocols: Masks are optional at this time. No proof of vaccination is needed. We reserve the right to change requirements if we feel it’s necessary.
